According to a source within Facebook speaking to DailyMail.com, the company’s internal systems are also down, potentially contributing to Tuesday’s outage.
The issues began around 10:20 am ET and are impacting both the social media sites apps and websites. DownDetector, an online xx1toto outage monitoring service, indicates that over 200,000 users in the Americas are experiencing difficulties with Facebook. Similarly, over 30,000 users reported similar issues with Instagram, while Messenger has over 8,000 reports.
